Christelle Guérinet’s artistic world has been shaped by drawing and painting from an early age. Trained at an art school in Charente, she first developed her practice through drawing and watercolour before expanding her techniques in the 2000s with acrylic. She later embraced oil painting, a medium she favours for the time it demands and the depth of gesture it allows.

Deeply interested in human nature, she seeks above all to capture emotion — the intensity of a gaze, a presence, an attitude. Exhibited in both solo and group shows, her work explores emotion as a silent language. Each canvas becomes a sensitive translation of the intangible, giving form not to what is simply seen, but to what is deeply felt.

Rather than reproducing reality, she opens a doorway into an inner world where viewers may recognise something of themselves. Her painting is both personal and universal.

L’univers de Christelle Guérinet s’est construit très tôt autour du dessin et de la peinture. Formée en école d’art en Charente, elle développe d’abord sa pratique du dessin et de l’aquarelle avant d’enrichir son parcours, dans les années 2000, par l’apprentissage de l’acrylique auprès d’un artiste peintre. Elle s’oriente parallèlement vers la peinture à l’huile, médium qu’elle privilégie pour sa temporalité et la profondeur du geste qu’il engage.

Passionnée par la nature humaine, elle cherche avant tout à capter l’émotion — l’intensité d’un regard, d’une présence, d’une attitude. Son travail, présenté en expositions individuelles et collectives, explore les émotions comme un langage silencieux. Chaque toile devient une traduction sensible de l’indicible, un espace où nuances et matières donnent forme à ce qui est ressenti plutôt qu’à ce qui est simplement visible.

Sa démarche n’est pas de reproduire fidèlement la réalité, mais d’ouvrir un monde intérieur où chacun peut reconnaître une part de soi. La peinture devient ainsi un acte à la fois intime et universel.
